Ans. Telnet is a protocol that allows you to connect to remote computers over a TCP/IP network. TELNET includes support for a series of control functions commonly supported by servers. This provides a uniform mechanism for communication of control functions.
All TELNET commands and data flow through the same TCP connection.

Q13. Explain the advantages of TELNET.
Ans.
1.The big advantage of telnet is that it saves you are able to use another computer elsewhere in the world without actually being there. You are actually connected to that machine.

2.You can use other computers, fix other people's computer problems, play games with other people etc. ,all without leaving your seat.

Ans. Web page:- a web page is a single disk file with a single name.
Web site:- it is a collection of one or more web pages .
Home page:- the first page of the website acts as the front page.
Web server:- A system on the internet containing one or more web site.

Ans. Characteristics of a client
 Initiates requests
 Waits for and receives replies
 Usually connects to a small number of servers at one time
 Typically interacts directly with end-users using a graphical user interface
Characteristics of a server
 Never initiates requests or activities
 Listens to network and responds only to requests from connected, authorized clients
 Waits for and replies to requests from connected clients
 A server can remotely install/uninstall applications and transfer data to clients
